Community Garden at Goose Green
Dalton with Newton Town Council is proud to unveil a brand-new community garden-a vibrant and peaceful haven designed with biodiversity at its heart.
Nestled near to the centre of town in the historically significant area of Goose Green this thoughtfully designed green space invites residents of all ages to connect with nature and enjoy the peace. Built with sustainability and ecological awareness in mind, the garden features native plants, pollinator-friendly flowers, and natural habitats to encourage wildlife to thrive.
From bees to butterflies, the garden is already proving to be a sanctuary for local flora and fauna. Specially designed flower beds provide space for eye catching colourful plants, while winding paths and benches offer moments of quiet reflection. Bird and Bat boxes have been erected in larger trees on site and there are future plans to install insect hotels. The garden fully accessible to those with limited mobility so the entire garden can be enjoyed by all.
Residents and visitors are warmly invited to explore this peaceful space. Whether you’re looking to take a stroll on the nearby Cistercian Way or just looking to enjoy the space, everyone is welcome.
